University of Warwick - 17kWp (Feb '14)

Posted by Spirit Energy on 12 Feb 2014

warwick universityIn February 2014, Spirit Solar installed a 17kWp system on the newly built International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing at the University of Warwick. The £4.1m International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing is the first of its kind in the world. The Institute will exploit polymer processing techniques which will enable industry to innovate their manufacturing technologies to produce polymer nanocomposites. The new Institute will house state-of-the-art facilities including characterisation laboratories, a wet chemistry laboratory, processing hall, offices and open plan research space.

It is expected that the facility will use 100% of the generation produced by the PV system further increasing the financial return.
