In September 2019, Spirit installed two Tesla Powerwalls for a client in Chertsey. An early adopter of renewable technology, Mr G has had a 3.88kWp solar PV system since 2011.
Mr G chose to get two Powerwalls to maximise the on site usage of his solar energy and to take advantage of off peak charging. With a variable electricity tariff, he can store up enough energy in the two batteries during the low rate periods to power his home throughout the rest of the day. This is particularly useful when electricity demand is high, like when he needs to charge his electric car.
