In June 2018, Spirit installed and commissioned 6 Dual Socket EV chargepoints at St Giles Hotel in Heathrow, London.
St Giles Hotel were required to install 12 EV chargers under London Planning laws, and so approached Spirit with a desire for a cost-effective installation that offered only the basic functionality required from a commercial EV charger.
With no suitable wall-space to utilise, the EV chargers needed to be pole mounted and so Spirit presented a few different dual socket EV charger products to the client, representing the most cost-effective solution for their requirement. The hotel chose to go with a Rolec charger based on the brand's competitive pricing and low maintenance costs.
Spirit delivered a complete install, managing all aspects including the groundworks required to trench the cables feeding the multiple chargepoints, the installation of a dedicated EV charger board to supply power to the chargepoints, and a sub main cable from the board to the main incomer.
