In March 2021, Spirit installed 100kWp of solar PV and around 100kWh of battery storage at the University of Worcester Arena, a high tech sports hall designed to be inclusive for wheelchair athletes.
The new solar adds to an existing array, bringing the total to 200kWp. Now with storage, the university can utilise much more solar generation on site, whenever it’s needed.
The additional solar system consists of 218 JA Solar 460W panels, estimated to generate 90,352kWh a year. The storage component is 6 Victron and BYD batteries, which you can see below:
