Sam Gilbert

Technical Design/Sales

Sam joined Spirit in 2022 with a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Exeter, and has been passionate about sustainability and renewable technologies from a young age.

Sam enjoys working alongside homeowners helping them to take electricity generation into their own hands and will often carry out the site surveys himself.

Among these homeowners, Sam recently designed his parents solar panel and Powerwall system and is fond of monitoring it, especially on sunny days.

As a consistent participant in the weekly Spirit 5 a-side football you'd be unlikely to catch him working late on a Thursday evening.

Reviews of a few of Sam's Recent Projects

In June 2023, we completed an install on a detached property in Woking. The client was technically minded, but was still very happy with the quality of the work done and the professionalism and attention to detail at every stage of the process. The client opted for 33 SunPower panels, making this one of our larger domestic installations and is looking to install an Enphase battery at a later date to make the most of the 14.35 kWp system.

Listen to what Mr C had to say about the project:-

"System design was great. Sam Gilbert listened carefully to what we wanted to achieve and then spent a lot of time figuring out how best to achieve it...

Project management - great. I was concerned that taking the chimney down just before the panels went up would be stressful, that the scaffolding wouldn't be there in time or the installers would arrive before we were ready. You made it very easy...

Installation. Fantastic. The wiring to our new distribution board is a work of art.
