In September 2018, Spirit installed an EVBox Elvi charging unit at a house in Lower Basildon. The charger fits neatly onto a wood-panelled exterior wall, close to where the customer parks his electric car.
Alongside the Elvi, Mr L opted for a cable dock to keep the 4m tethered cable tidy when not in use. The charger has a 7.4kW max output at 32A and WiFi monitoring. Mr L was able to claim the £500 OLEV grant towards the cost.
Mr L said he is ‘very happy with the charger and installation’.
