In December 2017, Spirit commissioned a 13.5 kWh Tesla Powerwall 2 to go with an existing 3.6 kWp PV system.

Mr A was one of our first solar PV customers back in 2010 and when Powerwall 2 was released he was quick to commission us again to install it for him. As the Powerwall went in a detached garage, the installation was a little trickier than normal but was a good example of how flexible the Powerwall location is, due to the clever split design between the main battery unit and the small "energy gateway".

In the winter months, when there is little spare solar energy available, the battery will be able to charge from the grid at off-peak times and in the future even participate in grid balancing services to generate extra revenue.

The entire solar PV and battery storage performance can be monitored through the Tesla App.

He had this to say about us:

"Spirit installed my Solar Panels in 2010 and my Tesla Powerwall in 2017. They did a very professional job both times as well as being competitively priced. I've already recommended them to my friends and wouldn't hesitate to do so again."
