In 2015, Spirit installed an 11.22 kWp system at the University of Southampton's new Boldrewood Innovation Campus. The system was design to be fitted on to the facade of the building and required custom-made mounting trays as designed by caice. Spirit then liaised with GB-Sol who were able to design and manufacture bespoke PV panels sized to fit the mounting system.
As a result, 132 x 85W panels were installed and the system is anticipated to produce 11,200 kWh of electricity every year, with annual savings and income of more than £2000.
