In July 2020, Spirit installed a huge 93.5kWp solar PV system at the West Reservoir outdoor swimming complex in Hackney.
The project is part of a local sustainability scheme, Hackney Light and Power. Alongside solar energy systems such as the system at West Reservoir, the council plans to install EV chargepoints, support renewable heating and fit home energy efficiency measures.
The solar PV system we installed will generate 77,534 kWh of electricity a year. We also fitted a display screen at the venue, so visitors can see how much power the panels are generating in real time.
